Hey, I'm Megan

The face behind Nàdarra

An animal loving, house renovating, travelling enthusiast

Married to my best friend and dog mom to my fur child Ella (a husky/chow chow mix) both pains but both my absolute world. I am a text book over thinker, a massive worrier, not great at relaxing, but still manage to be a pretty laid back person who will laugh her way through the day. I will talk about anything and everything, whilst sitting in a quaint cafe, drinking coffee enjoying life’s little interactions or sit for hours listening to music whilst getting lost in my thoughts & planning what room to design next - it’s the Gemini in me.

Originally from Edinburgh, I lived for travelling with my camera in hand and this is where I learnt how to capture beautiful moments. I love to walk in nature, or through twisted, narrow streets in beautiful historical cities. I am mad for interior design, renovating houses, flowers, vintage vibes and all the whimsical feels.

My ambition is always to create an organic, personal, unique experience in each interaction; and to see the beauty and art in everyday life - to capture the details that can be gone in a moment.

my own story

When I lost my beloved granny not so long ago, it pained me to realise I didn’t have one single photo of her, let alone one of us together - not even a pixelated selfie and coming from a photographer, this is truly heartbreaking. I come from a family that hides from the camera and fear they will “ruin every photo” and quickly followed with, “we’ll get one next time”. This fear has meant we now have to live with the fading memory our little gran. Life passes quickly and can take unexpected turns. We don’t have to wait for the special occasions to document them. We can find them in every day quiet moments.

photographs can make life stand still, freezing moments forever. Isn’t that truly the most valuable possession we can have.

Just me & my loves
